Getting serious

We have good reason for caution…maybe not to the extent as above but let’s think about what we can do to clean and protect. Here is a twelve-minute clean and disinfect idea.

Before disinfecting use a wet paper towel to clean the stovetop, table, counters, inside fridge, and even the floors. For a cleaning solution mix one cup Epsom Salt, ½ cup baking soda, ¼ cup of dish washing liquid, and mix.

Now a few moments for the living room. Using a microfiber mitt run your hand over side tables, coffee table, open shelves, and light fixtures. To clean the ceiling fan, use a dampened old pillowcase to slip over the blades and pull off and catch the dust. Use a lint brush over the couch to pick up dust, brush over lampshades, and portions of area rugs. Vacuum if needed. When cleaning around the house keep in mind that soap works by dissolving lipid membranes that surround covid 19 as well as other microorganisms.

Always clean with warm water first then disinfect.

What items and areas should we be looking for? The touch points around the house. Doorknobs, fridge handles, counter tops, and anything you can think of that is touched often. Be especially aware of metal, hard plastics, and countertops, phones, remotes, keyboards, light switches. Wear gloves and wash your hands when they come off.

To disinfect you can use a solution of five tablespoons of bleach per gallon of water. and don’t forget your car. Steering wheels, door handles, parking brake handles, etc. By all means wear gloves and wash your hands when they come off.
